This department of Ports and Transport, our oldest one, have undertaken projects of various kinds in a very large number of maritime and port environments, railways, traffic control, road transport, etc. along with companies like TELVENT, CABLERUNNER, Siemens SBS, University of Valencia or SELESTA, among others.

Some Ports & Transport Projects

• Our experts have collaborated in the EU draft "PHARE" to improve the maritime and port sector in Turkey. In this case, our work has focused on analyzing the harbour terminals and proposing a plan for modernization, ranging from security to the traceability of containers and goods. We have also proposed the machinery needed, planned the expansion of infrastructures and prepared the design of the software portal for the Turkish harbours net, for example. Finally, we have participated in developing the training plan for the stevedores and the plan for the prevention of occupational hazards for the stevedoring companies.


• Our staff has designed the access control system and the automatic vehicles and containers recognition system for the Port of Valencia, according with ISPS requirements. We have used the latest technology in optical recognition and have established radio and GPS equipment for the fleet of trucks accessing the port. In addition, these have been adapted to receive and validate orders, routes, and all necessary documentation in the largest project of its kind carried out in Spain and has planned the next optical tracking system, RFID and biometrics to control people in each of the zones (with varying levels of protection) of the harbour.


• Our company has coordinated the design, on the basis of Sage X3 ERP system, of the first ERP for the port sector, which covers container depots, transporters, customs agents, railways, freight forwarders, etc. and is used today by many companies in several Spanish ports and in some international ones.


• Our staff has participated in the improvement and implementation of crane simulators developed by the University of Valencia, which has had been presented in several countries, as well as in other of their simulation systems.


• We participate in the development of business plans for ports and terminals (design, expansion projects, railways, attracting lines and customers, staff training, etc.), providing the latest techniques in automation and information systems.
